Hello! I’m Katrina Miller, a surface pattern designer based in Seattle, where I live with my husband, two daughters, and our little dog Leo.
I create art inspired by my explorations of the natural world — from blooming clusters of peonies in my yard, to sun-dappled paths in the arboretum, and the salt-sprayed coastlines of the Pacific Northwest. I grew up on a tiny, off-the-grid island near the Canadian border, where we cooked on a wood stove, hauled well-water by hand, and lit our home with kerosene lamps. That early connection to nature and simple living continues to shape how I see the world and how I approach my work.
Most days, I work from home (often curled up under a cozy blanket with Leo on my lap and a podcast playing in the background), designing patterns that blend delicate florals, subtle details, and calming color palettes. My goal is to create art that brings beauty to the everyday — through fabric, wallpaper, home goods, and more.
Outside of work, I love playing tennis, planning family travel, and gathering for card games with extended relatives. I also enjoy a Bravo binge night, curling up with a good book, and spotting the first lilacs of spring.
Thanks for stopping by — I’m so glad you’re here.
